A physician can determine if you have adhesions based upon the symptoms you describe and a thorough physical examination. In some cases, the physician may decide to perform diagnostic imaging tests to look for any abnormal organ positions. She/he may also look into your abdomen with a laparoscope to see if adhesions have formed.
